Begin with two nights at the Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo, a refined retreat set within tranquil traditional gardens in the heart of the city, before boarding Celebrity Millennium® for a 12-night cruise through Japan’s captivating ports.

Your Tokyo stay includes daily breakfast and a half-day city tour, where a local guide will take you through Tsukiji’s storied outer market, the East Garden of the Imperial Palace, the ancient temple precinct of Asakusa and the organised spectacle of Shibuya Crossing. If you’re lucky, you may even catch the cherry blossoms in bloom – one of the great spectacles of the Japanese calendar. It’s an unhurried start to the journey, with two full days to orient yourself in one of the world’s great cities before the cruise begins.

From Tokyo, Celebrity Millennium® charts a captivating course through Japan and South Korea, calling at Kobe, gateway to Kyoto, Nagasaki, Busan and Shimizu. In Nagasaki, visit the Peace Park and museum to learn about the 1945 atomic bombing and its aftermath, before the cruise ends in Shimizu, where clear days may reveal Mount Fuji rising beyond the water.
