Available for a limited time only, this Deluxe 9-day Borneo Highlights tour combines orangutan encounters, river safaris and an extended three-night stay at EQ Kuala Lumpur.

Borneo has a reputation for wildlife encounters that stops you in your tracks. This nine-day tour puts you at the centre of it all – extraordinary orangutan encounters at Sepilok’s renowned rehabilitation centre, the world’s smallest bear at the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, and multiple dawn, dusk and night cruises along the wildlife-dense tributaries of the Kinabatangan River.

The tour’s most immersive stay needs a boat to reach it. Surrounded by one of Borneo’s most biodiverse river systems, the Kinabatangan Wetland Resort has no road access and wildlife on the doorstep around the clock. Here you’ll set out for early mornings on the water before the jungle wakes up, and night safaris after dark.

Kota Kinabalu provides a grand finale. Two nights at Shangri-La Rasa Ria – where the rainforest meets the resort’s edge – include a tribal lunch with the Kadazan Dusun community in the foothills of UNESCO-listed Kinabalu National Park.
