Marvel at the imposing scale of the Great Wall at Juyong Pass, then stand face to face with Xi’an’s legendary Terracotta Army, frozen in time for more than two millennia.

Experience the thrill of high-speed bullet train travel connecting you between Beijing and Xi’an with ease. In Shanghai, discover the classical Chinese landscaping of Yu Garden, wander through the lively lanes of Yuyuan Bazaar and explore the historic waterfront precinct of The Bund.

From there, your journey continues to Tibet — home to Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, the Potala Palace and Norbulingka, before continuing overland to Gyantse and Shigatse. Pause at the turquoise waters of Yamdrok-Tso and the ice fields of Karola Glacier, visit Pelkor and Tashilhunpo monasteries, and return to Lhasa by bullet train. Tibet permits, English-speaking guides, selected meals, domestic flights and portable oxygen are all included, with time built in on arrival to acclimatise to the altitude.
